I'm all about full honesty- When I first opened the box I was a little disappointed in the begonias. They looked sad and travel worn despite careful packaging. Reality check though- These begonias are young and very delicate plants- some travel wear should be expected despite the most careful packaging. A few days outta the box and in a more normal environment, and they look great. I am very pleased. Thank you.

I was looking for a replacement for a begonia that I lost over the summer. I only knew it as a lotus leaf begonia. I received three stems with leaves but far too little root development. I trimmed them, used rooting hormone and planted in non soil potting medium with perlite. To date two of the three are still alive and trying their best to put out leaves. Here is the downside to shopping for plants on Etsy, these plants, from more than this seller, are being shipped at high cost for plants that may have come from hardy stock but are not hardy themselves. I’m not a stranger to plants or plant propagation. I have grown and shared plants for years. The quality of plant material is just not there on Etsy though the variety of plants is amazing.

The plant came very very quickly, and it was packaged pretty securely. The plant is very healthy and is now potted up in some terracotta((:
